BEATRICE CAMPI

Director, Head of Islamic & Indian Art, and Head of Art of Asia

 

Beatrice is the head of the Islamic and Indian Art department. She has been active in the auction industry and the academic world for the past 10 years. 

She earned a BA in Art History and Culture of the Middle East and Eurasia at the University of Venice and a Masters Degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. 

As the head of the Islamic and Indian Art department at Chiswick Auctions in London, Beatrice established and grew the department, tripling the yearly turnover, becoming the youngest Associate Director, and conducting two White Glove sales. 

Prior to her role at Chiswick Auctions, she held various positions at Christie’s in London. 

Alongside her commercial endeavors, Beatrice remains connected to academia, collaborating with museums, such as the MAO Museum in Turin. She also delivers lectures on Islamic art, collecting provenance, authenticating artworks, and the ever-evolving art market trends, sharing her insights into differences and similarities between the Islamic Art and Western Art markets.
