ETHNOGRAPHICA

At the Heart of Global Heritage: Discover the Heirlooms and Artistic Traces left behind by Indigenous Cultures and Local Traditions

What is ethnography, if not the study of peoples and cultures through the traces they left behind in the form of objects and personal adornments? This branch of anthropology aims to explore and understand peoples' customs, habits, and their most ancient traditions. Likewise, our Ethnographica sales hope to offer a window into the most varied artistic traditions of different cultures.

Our specialists are welcoming valuations of a diverse range of objects reflecting the rich heritage, and living practices of peoples from around the world. This includes, but is not limited to, religious paraphernalia, rare books and manuscripts, ritual objects, figural sculptures, textiles and clothing items, talismans, jewellery and auspicious accessories, geomantic and healing tools, historical arms and armour, as well as archival material and travel photographs.

Our focus encompasses artifacts from regions such as the Mediterranean Sea, Near and Middle East, Central Asia, India, South East Asia, Oceania and beyond.
